In my new novel, Under the Witch’s Mark, her name is Bronwynn, but in real life her real name was Diane. Her last name began with D. We were both in our teens in the 70’s and lived in Farmer’s Branch. She became a satanic witch while we were dating, and then she vanished. I mean, really vanished. She was beautiful, wild and passionate, and I truly loved her. I wish I had her photo, but all I have left is the Satanic Bible she gave me, on the last day I remember seeing her. She was brown-eyed, well-endowed, an eye-popping beauty, and we loved and fought and lived life to the fullest in that Led Zeppelin Generation we were part of. You’ll have to read my novel to know more.
Every fall, every Halloween, I think of her, wonder where she is, wonder if she’ll see this novel and know that I wrote it because I can’t get her out of my head. I have a book signing and story and music time at the Farmer’s Branch Library, in the area where the novel is set, and where I and the real witch lived and loved. I hope you’ll take a look at my novel. You can order a print copy here, or you can get an eBook version for Kindle, Nook, or on iTunes for Apple products.
The model on the cover, Liza Thomason, is a close resemblance to the real witch, and like Diane, a natural beauty. I hope you’ll take a look at my novel and email me your thoughts about witches and witchcraft. After all these years, I still truly want to know . . .
